I think Twitter bought TweetDeck so that it could nerf it, destroy its user base, then kill it.Īnd that's a damn shame, because I can't find a single client out there that does what TweetDeck used to do as well as it did. It's total bullshit and it almost makes me want to quit Twitter entirely, that's how pissed off I am. Direct Messages in Twitter don't wrap and just show ellipses (.) if the text is longer than one line. Clicking pictures and videos does nothing.

You can't view comments on Facebook anymore, and you certainly can't like things or write your own comments either. Sure, it's great that it's HTML5 now instead of Adobe Air, but they crippled the fuck out of it and it doesn't do 80% of what it used to. The new TweetDeck is a punch in the face to existing TweetDeck users. I can't believe this has been posted for 12 days and nobody else has commented on it. I have also had it running and it crashes at least once an hour, whereas the old version never crashed. I wish I could go back to the old version, but I can't find it anywhere. I hope someone out there has the same feeling I do. I have sent queries to Twitter, but they have gone unanswered. And Twitter took that away from everyone. The old TweetDeck did all of these things in one step. Now if I want to post a link on Twitter, I have to go to a separate site to shorten the link, then tweet it, then post to Facebook right after that. There was honestly nothing wrong with it and I loved the fact it took care of everything. I really wish Twitter would have not messed with TweetDeck in its old form. On the old TweetDeck I got 4 columns on the main screen, could pick the colors I liked so it would be something fun as well. The new design is in my opinion nothing special. Now I can't even copy and paste a link into my tweets on there. I thought that is what Twitter was honestly all about, and Tweetdeck did it in one easy step. I love finding links to cool things or newsworthy stories and tweeting them to my friends/followers. No more posting of links or link shortening, which is honestly the reason I got it in the first place. Little did I know that the complete redesign is flawed and basically a complete 180 from the previous version. I downloaded the new TweetDeck for Twitter yesterday.
